Installation of abstract Christmas Trees for the Old Vic Theatre foyer.
Inspired by Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
The Brief
Our brief was to create a collection of three Christmas Trees for the Old Vic Theatre foyer. The trees were to be inspired by themes from the production running at the time, A Christmas Carol.
Our solution
Our team worked to create three trees that represented the three ghosts within Charles Dickens' classic tale: The Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future. The theme of each Ghost was represented by the quality of the fabric we used to illuminate our trees.
The trees were fitted with Arduino switchboards which responded to sound. Therefore when people entered the theatre the trees would light up to greet them.
